AEBN Wins Vod Rights To HD Version Of Classic Adult Film

CHARLOTTE, NCAEBN, the world leader in adult video-on-demand distribution, has obtained exclusive VOD rights to the High Definition version of Inside Little Oral Annie, a 1984 production that will be the first classic adult film to be released in HD.

The painstaking conversion of the film to HD from the original 35 mm negatives was done by Video-X-Pix, owner of the most extensive collection of older “sexploitation” films. It will be available exclusively on AEBN beginning in mid-September.

“The conversion to HD of this beautifully preserved master is a really remarkable achievement and AEBN is honored to have the exclusive VOD rights to one of the great adult movies from the golden age of erotic entertainment,” said Jerry Anders, Vice President for Sales and Marketing at AEBN. “The star of the movie, who was known as Little Oral Annie, was a world class talent in lingual stimulation, as her name implies, and this movie demonstrates skills that are unsurpassed even to this day.”

According to Steven Morowitz of Video-X-Pix, “The performance of LOA made Linda Lovelace look like a schoolgirl, so this re-mastering was a work of love. In converting the original master we even had to upgrade some of our equipment to be able to handle the large HD files, which are so big that without the proper connection, the system just chokes up. The HD re-mastering takes up 800 gigabytes of space on our hard drives. It now has a clear picture, crisp edges and true color. It was shot by sexploitation veteran Joseph Sarno, who made dozens of ’80s films and video features, so having good film stock and a talented person behind the camera certainly helps to make a successful picture. Inside Little Oral Annie is a great example of smut in the ’80s and it happens to be our all time best selling DVD in the adult market.”

Interview with “Alice” Star Sunny Lane

Author: Corva Siouan (via xPeeps.com)

When she met director Erica McLean in Berlin, “Girl Next Door Gone Hardcore” Sunny Lane probably couldn’t have guessed that this would lead her on a trip down the rabbit hole and into the middle of what’s sure to become a XXX hit with crossover appeal. The lead role in “Alice,” out next Tuesday, August 24th on Cal Vista Pictures and Metro Interactive DVD and available on VOD exclusively through AEBN, is one that Sunny was practically born to play.

“I was a fan of Alice in Wonderland, the children’s version,” Sunny says. “It was so amazing, such a fairy tale story. It’s me, it’s who I am, that’s how I practically just am: innocent but fun, curious, cute, and wanting to see what’s out there in the world. Yes, I’ve been amazed by it for years.”

Erica and Sunny, two Americans, must have been destined to meet – even if it had to happen in Europe. “When I met Erica in Berlin, Germany last year at the Venus Berlin show, Teresa Flynt introduced us,” Sunny says. “She’s just a sweet and adorable lady. The next morning I got to meet her [again] and I was like, ‘Good morning, Erica!’ She said, ‘Oh my gosh! You’re my Alice! You’re the girl! You’re the one!’ And I just said, ‘Whatever you want me to do, sexy lady, I’m yours.’ I was honored and thankful and just blessed, truly.”

In our conversation with Erica McLean last week, it was clear that she defies expectations of what a porn director is like. Sunny loved working with her. “Erica is so awesome how she communicates with people, and her take on the story and Clive’s, and what they wanted to do and where they wanted to go with it. It was so beautiful. It felt like I fell into a fairy tale and that was the life I was living, was Alice in this urban lifestyle of exploring and being curious. Now that I’ve stepped out of it, I still feel like I’m Alice at times, still talking about the movie. It’s remarkable how she brought it to life. She has such a great energy about her and she knows how to get that sexuality out as well, such a great artistic expression, what she does as a director.” The Erica you see is the Erica you get, Sunny tells us. “She’s genuine, she’s real. She cares and it’s nice. She thinks about everyone and who you are as a talent. She was checking you the whole time and it was a fun set.”

This updated vision of the Alice story takes the girl out of the country, which meant that Sunny took care to show some edge at the official casting. “I got my hair done that day a little bit blonder and I went in with this pair of cute little tight jeans on and a bright pink little dress that went over my pants, over my butt, and some boots. I gave it that urban feel of 2010,” Sunny says. “It’s not back when Alice was in the forest. Now she’s been out exploring the world… and seeing what’s really out there. That’s when they asked me how urban can I be. It’s who I am, I’m very real. I took this role on and I sank my teeth into the character and had fun with it. I know how to dance; I know how to move; I have rhythm and I bring cute sexiness to it as well, and ‘the girl next door gone hardcore.’”

Because the Alice stories didn’t have sexy bits, you might say it’s perfect for a porn remake (and decades have passed since the first one). It certainly gave Erica and her cast and crew the room to go wild with sex scenes. “This is a good one sexually. Wow! People are in store for a wild ride down Wonderland,” Sunny says with a laugh. “It is pretty remarkable, because you know in a lot of features the star gets to do one to two scenes? Well, in this one I got to do three boy/girl scenes with three of the hottest guys in the business… The sex scene with Evan Stone was fun, as the Mad Hatter, and that scene is gonna surprise people. As you can see in the trailer, ‘Where do you want me to cum, over here or over there?’” While Sunny and Evan were shooting the scene in the forest by Erica’s house, Erica wanted to catch the golden light of sunset, but in the movie you’ll chalk it up to the Mad Hatter’s madness. “It was magic hour, and we had to run up this hill like a mile to go catch it to get exactly the shot that we needed,” Sunny explains.

Interview with “Alice” Director Erica McLean

Author: Corva Siouan (via xPeeps.com)

Most people’s image of a porn director is probably male and not very nurturing. Those who have that image are likely unfamiliar with Erica McLean. The former model and makeup artist helped her late husband, director Clive McLean, bring the influential series Barely Legal to life in 1999 and has directed it for five years. Dismiss any preconceived notions about porn directors, because she will shatter them.

Erica’s new release is likely to become a sensation and deservedly so. “Alice,” out August 24th on DVD and exclusively on AEBN VOD theaters, is a modern, urban retelling of Alice in Wonderland. It’s no parody – it’s good hardcore sex from a woman’s perspective with a plot adapted from the classic tale and the surreal qualities you’d expect. Women and men can enjoy “Alice.”

“It was a lot of fun. There’s a lot of thought process going into it, casting the characters was pretty easy. I already had my Alice in mind when I went into production,” Erica says. “The costumes are very important and the characters are very important… it’s told in sort of a new age, hip-hop, urban way of looking at Alice. It’s a classic fairy tale that’s been told many times and will probably be told many times after. It pretty much was my late husband’s script, his idea and I just put a little twist on it. He wrote it in 2004. We had hoped to do it in 2004 but he was diagnosed and passed away so I took it out of the closet and brought it to life. I had a lot of fun doing that. Doing my projects, I always sing from my heart anyway. Whenever you do something that you love and you’re passionate about, it shows. I love what I do.”

Erica takes her work so much to heart that she literally brings it home with her, filming segments in her yard, including scenes with Alice and her sister (Kimberly Kane) and the scene where Alice follows the white rabbit (Andy San Dimas) down the hole. “I live in the Angeles Forest. It was burned down and we used the burned down forest as a backdrop and it was sort of an homage to that. I decorated a tree with some crystals just to make the forest happier.”

Casting this iconic character could’ve been tricky, but Fate may have helped Erica meet Sunny Lane. “Sunny and I picked each other. It was like two meteorites colliding… I’d never met Sunny, it’s a great story. I was thinking, okay, who am I going to cast as my Alice? When I went to Europe… my friend Jan who I wrote a book with said, ‘You’re probably going to go to Europe and you’re probably going to find your Alice there.’ I said, ‘Oh, Jan, there’s no way’… it’s difficult to bring Europeans here and there are a lot of Americans.” Erica traveled to Berlin for the Venus Awards, where she was up for Director of the Year. When she arrived, Theresa Flynt introduced her to Sunny at dinner. The next day it clicked. “We were going to the show and the elevator door opened up and there was Sunny waiting in the reception as I was coming down. I looked at her and knew automatically in my heart and my soul… I said, ‘Sunny, I’m doing a film and I just found my girl, I found my Alice.’ She just looked at me and said ‘OK, whatever you say.’ It was meant to be that we met and of all places in Europe,” Erica says.

“I absolutely love Sunny Lane. She’s my little girl that I hope to do more projects with, which I have,” Erica adds, referring to “The Flying Pink Pig,” an upcoming Hustler film. “She absolutely is Alice as far as I’m concerned, she has all those elements and she’s a naughty little Alice… She enjoys sex and she enjoys what she does. She got what I was trying to do, she sang from her heart and really learned the lines and really came. Her whole attitude was absolutely there.”

Erica likes to plan scenes with her performers. “I love it when the actors bring in what turns them on, so I’ll talk to them. I’ll say ‘I need to have this happen, I need to have this gradual transition from one to another, and then we also need to do soft,’ for Playboy Channel or whoever we sell it to,” she says. “I know what’s going on right now is a lot of gonzo and a lot of fast in and out, sorry the pun, and then that’s it and that’s all people want to see. But I disagree, I believe the art of erotica is a fine art and to capture that and to do hardcore is very interesting, because you want to capture each moment that the actors have between themselves. The kissing, the touching, the nibbling on the neck, the dialogue, the little bit of sex talk in between is a turn on… Whether it stays in there or we edit it out, nonetheless, the actors need to know what each other likes. You’re putting two people in that are virtually strangers to each other; they may have worked a couple of times. To make it look convincing and very sexy and sensuous, that’s what I want to bring.” Erica is known for welcoming, relaxing sets. “When you have a comfortable set and a comfortable setting for these people, it works. It makes it look effortless even though you’re working 20 hour days, trying to make everybody feel comfortable and everybody special and you’re catering to their needs at that moment. And they’re helping you paint your picture.”
